The short version: Tracer Tales does not collect personal information from children. Your child's name and progress never leave their device. There are no ads, no tracking, and no data sold — ever.
Tracer Tales is an independent Australian app made by a parent who watched their child struggle with letterforms at school and wanted to make handwriting practice something kids actually look forward to. You can reach us at hello@tracertales.com.
Tracer Tales is designed for children aged 4–7. The purchasing and account relationship is always with you, the parent or guardian — never with your child.
We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where applicable, we also follow the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Almost nothing — and none of it leaves the device.
Stored locally on your child's iPad only:
None of this is transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes it entirely.
Purchases: Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see payment details. Apple provides only the confirmation needed to unlock Premium content on your device.
If you use the contact form at tracertales.com, we collect your name, email address, and message. We use this only to reply to you. We never use it for marketing without your consent and never sell it.
The website uses no cookies, no advertising pixels, and no third-party analytics. All fonts are self-hosted — no external requests are made when you visit.
Apple App Store: Subscription and purchase management are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive no financial information — only the entitlement status needed to confirm your subscription.
Amazon Web Services: Story content (illustrations, audio, letter paths) is served from AWS servers in Sydney, Australia. AWS's own privacy notice governs their infrastructure.

Under Australian privacy law you may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Email hello@tracertales.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
All data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Contact form submissions are stored in encrypted AWS storage accessible only to us.
If we make material changes — especially anything affecting children's data — we'll update the date at the top and notify you through the app or by email.
